IoT-Gateway with integrated key switch

Classic remote access solutions provide only „On“ or „Off“. Limited access which allows continuous data collection – but prevents active remote access – was not possible until now. The IoT gateway from MB Connect Line solves this for the first time with a two-step key switch. Applying two different keys, the operating personnel controls the communication to the outside on a physical level – and enables the security level „read only“ and, if required, additionally „configuration/remote maintenance“. It is now possible for the plant operator as well as for the machine manufacturer to read the relevant data continuously – and remote maintenance is only enabled selectively. The IoT gateway supports all common protocols and interfaces of automation technology such as S7-ISOTCP, Modbus-TCP, OPC UA, MPI- and Profibus as well as MQTT and the connection to cloud solutions such as IBM Watson, Microsoft Azure, Siemens Mindsphere and Amazon AWS.
